Not Too Early To Start Thinking Ahead

September 16th, 2008 · 1 Comment

It is never to early to think about life insurance. I currently do not carry my own life insurance but have been thinking of it quite seriously the last year. Since I work from home, I don’t have any 401k plans or stocks and bonds that I can cash out on. Well, I also think about what happens if something happens to me, what will happen to my online business that I have created for myself. I own quite a few websites and blogs and only I know how to operate them here at home. My family knows that I work on my laptop, but they don’t know all the details that go along with how the money is made.

Also, if something haoppens, will my family be okay financially? I think that life insurance is a good investment for everyone that has dependents who rely on you for their support.  I know there are many cheap insurance plans available too! Doing your research before making any final decisions is a good idea too. I was a paralegal for many years and I know to also read what you are signing your name too as well. At any rate, thinking ahead is always a good idea. Never think you are too young or too old.

It’s funny you posted this today because hubby and I are actually switching life insurance policies as we speak. We had the same company for 9 years but are getting a different plan. The lady is actually coming by tomorrow for the blood testing part of it and all that fun stuff. I’ll be starving tomorrow morning because I can’t eat until she leaves and that is probably around 8:30 am UGH. Anyway, just thought it was funny you posted this as we go through it. I would highly recommend getting life insurance but then again I don’t have health insurance so people could say the same about that to me LOL
